Construction of Stage 2 of Harridale SHS is proceeding full steam. Last week saw installation of the lift shaft for one of the double storey buildings, and this week sees the first of the building framework in place. In the meanwhile, lots of action continues with earthworks.
Harrisdale Senior High School presents this free community event showcasing Year 7 and Year 8 arts.

Due to popular demand, Harrisdale Senior High School is holding an evening workshop for parents and carers on understanding adolescent boys.

In this workshop we will explore the development of the teenage brain, hormonal changes, risk taking behavior and social trends, as well as strategies to navigate the ups and downs of parenting a teenage boy.

Harrisdale Senior High School is excited to be partnering with Parkerville Children and Youth Care in running a free weekly parent information morning tea every Monday from 8.30am to 9.30am in the school library.

Harrisdale Senior High School Parent Information Workshops are a Communicare Communities for Children Armadale activity funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services and delivered by Parkerville Children and Youth Care.
1. Keeping Kids Safe Online
Learn the risks associated with technology such as social networking sites and learn strategies on how to keep children and young people safe.
2. Community Resources
Learn about the current supports for families in Harrisdale's local community.
3. Emotional Regulation in Adolescents
Learn about how the adolescent brain processes emotion and explore different strategies to promote healthy self-regulation in your child.

Parents and carers who are considering enrolling their child in Year 7, Year 8 or Year 9 at Harrisdale Senior High School, 2019 are welcome to attend a tour of our school on Monday, 27 August, 2018.
The 45 minute tour will start at 3.30pm from the front of the school (outside reception) and conclude at 4.15pm.
Please note, this is a 'parents only' tour. Students who are enrolled at Harrisdale will visit the school for orientation later in the year.

*Please note that submitting and Expression of Interest does not guarantee Harrisdale SHS has the availability to offer you the hire of our facilities in 2019. Expression of Interest will only be accepted via email. The closing date for Expression of Interest, Community Use Hire of Facilities is 5 September 2018.
Another semester of endeavour and achievement ahead for Harrisdale SHS students when Term 3 commences on Monday, 16 July.
A reminder to families living in the Harrisdale Senior High School local intake area, enrolment forms and associated documents for students entering Year 7 next year must be submitted at school reception by Friday, 20 July.
Enrolment forms can be collected from reception or downloaded from the website (see Enrolments under the Helpful Information tab).
Great news! After a year-long delay, the WA Council of State School Organisations (WACSSO) has notified us that we may now establish our P&C Association.
Parents and carers please come along to our AGM at 7.00pm on Wedensday, 23 May in the Library. Lets work together to get Harrisdale SHS's P&C off to a great start.
