Parents and carers who have enrolled their child for Year 7, 2022 at Harrisdale Senior High School are invited to the Year 7, 2022, Parent Information Evening on Wednesday 11 August 2021.

The event will take place in the Harrisdale SHS Sports Hall from 7:00pm to 8.30pm.

In 2019, a number of Harrisdale SHS Science students signed up with NASA to send their names to Mars. Their names were etched onto a microchip placed aboard the Mars 2020 rover Perseverance that was launched on its mission to Mars on 30 July 2020. The Perseverance rover landed on Mars on 18 February 2021 with the names of our students. With a mission duration of at least one Mars year (about 687 Earth days), the Perseverance rover will search for signs of past microbial life, collect rock and soil samples, and help pave the way for future exploration of Mars.

Parents and Carers, we hope your children have enjoyed their first week of the 2021 school year at Harrisdale SHS. From the staff’s perspective, they have made a terrific start to the year! With well over 1,600 students on our compact campus each day, their positive interaction with their teachers and each other in classes and in the grounds is really pleasing to see.
