At Harrisdale Senior High School, reporting is an integral part of the teaching and learning process, grounded in the school’s commitment to educational excellence. Drawing on the latest research, the school uses assessment data to enhance student outcomes and track progress. Students are assessed through a combination of national and statewide tests, such as NAPLAN and OLNA, along with regular formative and summative assessments conducted in class.
Your child’s academic reports can be viewed in Compass. To do this:
• Login to the Compass Portal.
• Select the View Academic Reports option below your student’s name. This should redirect you to a page showing all progress and semester reports available.
• Select the name of the report you are interested in viewing, and this should automatically begin the download process.
Friendly Note: if your child has since left/graduated from school, you won’t be able to access their reports through Compass, and will instead need to follow-up with the school. We recommend parents download their child’s school reports and keep a digital copy at home.

NAPLAN is a national literacy and numeracy assessment that runs for students in Years 7 and 9.
NAPLAN provides parents and carers the opportunity to track a student’s learning progress in the essential skills of reading, writing and numeracy against national curriculum standards.

2025 NAPLAN Schedule for Harrisdale Senior High School runs from Wednesday 12 March – Monday 24 March (Term 6-8, Term 1).
This schedule has been sent to all parents and students across Years 7 -12 as it contains room changes that affect all year groups. Please be aware that these changes will also reflect in Compass for students to make it easier to find classes. Physical copies of the room changes are displayed around the campus for students.
