In the heart of our school, the Library Information Resource Centre is located upstairs above the café and is open daily from 8am to 4pm for staff, and 8.25am to 3.05pm for students, with parents able to allow their child to stay later with written permission.
The library is only closed Break 1 Friday’s and is open all other break times to students who wish to read, study, play games or simply enjoy a quiet sit with friends.
The Centre is a large and open space zoned into a range of activity areas, each with its own function and unique feel. Zones have been created for class learning and research, quiet reading, games, and our recently added Makerspace, supporting the idea of the library as a place of discovery, that encourages independent learning. We have also added a number of collaborative working spaces to better facilitate group work and private study.
The Centre houses an ever-growing collection of fiction and non-fiction resources, with the inclusion of digital resources added in 2024.
