Parents and carers,
Thank you for sending your children well-prepared for Orientation Day – Day 1 of the new school year at Harrisdale SHS. Students look great in their uniforms, with our foundation Year 11s particularly distinctive in their blue upper-school shirts.
Neither wearing masks nor rainy weather has dampened the students’ engagement in Orientation Day activities. We have some images to share of activities from this morning’s program across the school. They capture:
- a Year 11 student on the milestone of Harrisdale SHS’s first day of upper-school;
- the Year 7 Welcome assembly prior to our youngest students heading off to their Homeroom groups;
- Years 8, 9, and 10 students in Homeroom groups workshopping “The Harrisdale Way”: every year we run activities to re-teach and reinforce the expected behaviours of all students and what it means to show excellence, respect, responsibility, and care both at school and in the community; and
- a Year 11 personal development and study skills program that supports our goal to provide every student a pathway to a successful future.
Regards
