Try A Trade – Scheduling & Estimating

This Try-a-Trade course is designed to give students a taste of the Estimating and Schedulingindustry, exploring the key areas of these fields.
Estimators predict how much time, money, andresources a project will need. They work in fields like construction, where they calculate costsfor building projects. Schedulers create project timelines and manage tasks. They work withproject managers to define project goals and assign resources (like workers and materials).
They also keep track of progress and adjust schedules as needed.
This program runs over the course of a two-day period (6-7th May) Each day is split intothree/four sessions focusing on different areas of the trade.
Students are to wear their school/PE uniform, including closed in shoes.
Students depart at 8:30 SHARP from the front of the school (near the big head, outside themain office), and will return by the end of the school day.Students can bring their own lunch, alternatively they can purchase lunch from a mobile foodvan located on site in the morning (van is available at approximately 10:00am)
