Children Family Community class contributes to a good cause!

July 19, 2022 by Victoria Rawlings

Today our Year 11 Children Family Community General class is joined by Ann Viivers from Uthando Project Inc. Uthando Project Inc is a charity project dedicated to the children of Hlabisa District of KwaZulu Natal, whose lives have been severely impacted by the HIV/AIDS pandemic sweeping South Africa. Using donated resources and the help of volunteers, Uthando Project Inc. creates brown-skinned dolls to donate to the children in the community to help encourage and stimulate their social and emotional development. Our students are looking forward to contributing to such a heart-warming project!

Child Development Playgroup!

November 19, 2021 by Victoria Rawlings

Yesterday at Harrisdale SHS, our Year 10 Child Development class invited a number of parents and carers and their young children to come along to a playgroup.
Parents and carers were able to sit back and relax with a morning tea, while our students tended to the children. Our students provided age-appropriate activities they had arranged and developed as part of their course in understanding the growth and development of a child.

A Great Entry Statement

December 9, 2020 by IT Dept

As the semester draws to a close, Woodwork Elective students are finalising their practical projects. Some of the beautiful examples of their finished products, shown in the images below, are proudly displayed in our school reception foyer. These pieces reflect pride in endeavour and achievement.  Well done, students!
