Parent Teacher InterviewsOver the course of last week, Harrisdale SHS recognised NAIDOC Week, celebrating the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Students engaged face painting, yarn bracelet making, canvas hand paintings and the ‘Get Up, Stand Up, Show Up’ poster activities. On Wednesday, we welcomed the return of the Wesley College Moorditj Mob, who performed a cultural dance performance to our Year 8 Cohort. Our program continued onto Friday, where our Year 7-10 Cohorts participated in educational storytelling and yarning circle workshops through the day, led by Aboriginal Productions Company. Students learned about the significance of local Indigenous regions, culture and values, and the history of NAIDOC.
