Take a bow, Harrisdale’s Drama Club students! Your performance of your original play “Let’s Get This Straight”, has seen you through to the YOH Fest finals. A mighty congratulations to up-and-coming playwright Rhea Monga (Year 11) and to every member of the cast for your superb performance. The Finals take place later in October at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, with more details to come.

Year 11 Drama Production

Harrisdale SHS’s Year 11 Drama students invite you to their production of “Hoods”, by Angela Betzien. “Hoods” tells the story of three kids abandoned in a car and the poetic tale of their survival. Performances are on Wednesday 15 September and Thursday 16 September, commencing at 6.30pm in the Performing Arts Centre.
An admission of $15 entry applies. Please note that the performance is suitable for ages 12+

Parent School Tour – June 2021

Parents and carers who are considering enrolling their child at Harrisdale SHS in 2022 are welcome to attend our School Tours on either Wednesday 5 May or Wednesday 16 June, 2021.

This is a ‘parents only’ tour.  Students who are enrolled at Harrisdale SHS will visit the school during orientation day held later in the year.

The 45 minute tour will start at 3.30pm from the front of the school (outside reception) and conclude at 4.15pm.

Numbers are strictly limited to 45 on a first-come basis. To secure your place on this tour RSVP as soon as possible, as places fill quickly.

If your child sat the Gifted and Talented test in March and you select Harrisdale SHS as a preferred school for the 2022 Gifted and Talented program, please note that a separate school tour will be held. Date to be advised.

Opening of Stage 2 at Harrisdale SHS

A Milestone Event

On Wednesday 26 February 2020, Harrisdale Senior High School reached an important milestone with the official opening of our magnificent new Stage 2 facilities by the Premier and Minister for Education and Training. The event was held in our new theatre in front of special guests and an audience representing students and staff.

Year 8 Parent Information Evening Tuesday, 23 July

Parents and carers of Year 8, 2019 students are invited to attend a parent information evening on Tuesday, 23 July, 7.00pm to 8.15pm in the Library.

You will be informed about:

  • Year 9 subject electives - Student selection and parent approval.
  • Charges (costs) incurred with electives.
  • Year 9 "I-prepare Camp" - Overnight camp held during orientation week focusing on preparing students for successful pathways through Senior School (Year 10-12).
  • Senior School Pathways to Success.

To attend this important evening RSVP to Harrisdale.SHS.Events@education.wa.edu.au with your name and the number of adults attending by 9.00am on Monday, 22 July.

Note, this is a Parents Only event.  Students will have a separate presentation at school.
