Children Family Community class contributes to a good cause!
Today our Year 11 Children Family Community General class is joined by Ann Viivers from Uthando Project Inc. Uthando Project Inc is a charity project dedicated to the children of Hlabisa District of KwaZulu Natal, whose lives have been severely impacted by the HIV/AIDS pandemic sweeping South Africa. Using donated resources and the help of volunteers, Uthando Project Inc. creates brown-skinned dolls to donate to the children in the community to help encourage and stimulate their social and emotional development. Our students are looking forward to contributing to such a heart-warming project!
The One Day of the Year by Alan Seymour
Well done to the Year 12 Drama students, who have worked hard for the last term to put together their production of The One Day of the Year by Alan Seymour which they performed on Friday to students and families. The students worked beyond the role of the actor with designated roles in lighting, sound, set and props, costume, publicity, and front of the house to realise this drama work. The piece explores controversial topics of the celebrations around Anzac Day and how this recognises the lives lost.
